Dr. Elizabeth Foley is a registered dietitian, adjunct professor, and former clinical researcher with expertise in nutrition, exercise physiology, and chronic disease prevention. Dr. Foley earned her PhD in Nutrition and Food Science from Florida State University, where her research focused on the gut microbiome and bone health. She has experience in both clinical and research settings, including training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center and postdoctoral work at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a National Institutes of Health (NIH) T32 fellow. Her work has contributed to multiple peer-reviewed publications and scientific presentations in areas such as metabolic health, chronic disease, and nutrition interventions.
In addition to her academic and clinical work, Dr. Foley has held leadership roles in health promotion through the Defense Health Agency, where she developed and implemented wellness programs and collaborated with healthcare providers and community organizations. She is passionate about translating complex science into practical, accessible guidance.
As a professor, military spouse, and mom, she understands the challenges of balancing health with real life—and is committed to helping patients build habits that are both effective and sustainable.
