Khatia Nanobashvili, MS, RDN, CDN is a clinically trained nutrition professional who earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Tbilisi State Medical University in the Republic of Georgia and her Master of Science in Nutrition Science from Brooklyn College.

After moving to the United States, she completed clinical training at Mount Sinai Brooklyn, NYU Langone Medical Center, and Maimonides Medical Center Outpatient Cancer Center. Through this experience, she recognized the critical gap in preventive care and the need for stronger patient education to improve long-term health outcomes.

Khatia works closely with patients to create realistic, sustainable nutrition plans that fit into their daily lives. She has a particular focus on helping individuals manage chronic conditions such as diabetes, High cholesterol, high blood pressure, digestive tract issues and weight-related concerns through practical, step-by-step guidance. She utilizes the Lifeways Weight Loss Program to help patients achieve long-term, sustainable health goals through structured, evidence-based nutrition care.

She replaces dieting with a long-term solution that takes into account each patient’s current eating rate and meal frequency, supporting meaningful and lasting results. Her approach emphasizes education, accountability, and long-term success—so patients feel confident making meaningful, lasting changes.

In addition to her clinical work, Khatia serves as an Adjunct Professor of Nutrition at Brooklyn College, where she contributes to the education and training of future nutrition professionals.
